About Corten (weathering) steel and certification
Corten steel naturally develops a protective, rust‑toned patina when exposed to the elements. This evolving surface enriches the character of the piece and helps shield the metal beneath from deeper corrosion. Initial colour changes typically begin within weeks and continue to mature over several months, resulting in a unique finish for every sculpture. Material certification for our Corten steel is available on request for provenance and compliance.
